Description

Produced since the 15th century and carrying the prestigious DOP designation, Prosciutto Toscano is a dry cured ham made from the hind leg of a Tuscan pig. Flavored with a blend of spices that include black pepper, garlic, rosemary, and wild juniper berries, it is cured for a minimum of 12 to 16 months, and is by design supposed to be intensely concentrated and spicier, than its Parma counterpart, with darker coloring, pinker fat and a spice laden exterior.
