IN A SNAPSHOT
As a Shipper Receiver Team Lead, you will be responsible to organize and monitor the receiving, shipping, storage and distribution of all items received either from suppliers, vendors and/or the Manufacturing Department. The incumbent will ensure a smooth and consistent operation, so parts and supplies are located and distributed in an effective and efficient manner as needed to satisfy internal and external requirements.
WHERE YOU WILL SPEND YOUR TIME
- Oversees and participates in the loading and unloading of all deliveries/ all incoming shipments and problem solves for any cases of missing documents, shipments, and deliveries, and communicates respective information to all internal departments/employees as required.
- Aid in the warehousing of finish goods, inventory management, order picking and shipping of products as required
- Facilitates scheduling of packaging of finished products for shipping.
- Oversees daily routes/schedules of shipments and deliveries.
- Communicates with 3rd party carriers related to transportation or material handling.
- Follows standard warehousing operations/practices with respect to all equipment, procedures/processes Ensure Health and Safety guidelines are practices and followed
- Prepares Work Orders for shipping as required ensuring lot numbers are properly documented.
- Ensures shipping/dry receiving is completed per GMP and Food Safety requirements
- Ensures shipping/dry receiving documents are accurately completed.
- Completes HACCP/food safety & quality documentation as required by the Food Safety and quality program
- Participates in cycle-counting program to ensure accuracy of inventory levels.
- Provides training to all employees on warehousing, shipping, and receiving policy and procedures.
- Fosters and maintains a continuous improvement environment through communication, teamwork, and development.
- Organizing and planning to ensure the warehouse/shipping runs efficiently
- First point of contact for warehouse team members
- Ensuring 100% adherence to quality and accuracy
- Maintains a clean and organized work environment
- Duties and responsibilities may be amended from time to time to support efficient company operations.
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- 1-3 years’ relevant experience in a warehouse environment.
- Broad working knowledge of all Inbound/Outbound warehouse processes.
- Ability to operate various material handling equipment.
- Must be able to lift and carry boxes or parts weighing up to 50 pounds
- Comfortable with heights
- Work in an environment with frequently changing temperatures.
